Two ''CSI'' actors fired in pay dispute. George Eads and Jorja Fox are leaving the hit show after unsuccessful attempts to get raises
''CSI: Crime Scene Investigation'' supporting actors George Eads and Jorja Fox have found themselves unemployed after unsuccessfully pushing for more money, according to published reports. Fox, who plays Sara Sidle, and Eads, who plays Nick Stokes, had pushed CBS for a raise despite being locked into a contractual salary -- a tactic the network is trying to discourage, according to Variety.
Now, show creators plan to create two similar new characters and recast the roles for this fall's season, which just began shooting. CBS is particularly concerned with preventing stars under contract from trying to use pressure and work stoppages to get raises after they were forced to renegotiate with the ''Everybody Loves Raymond'' cast members last year, according to Variety.
