Here's another job that Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie won't be able to hold onto for more than a day. The ''Simple Life'' stars are hosting the 2004 Teen Choice Awards. Paris herself is up for several awards, including Choice TV Personality, Choice Female Reality/Variety Star, Choice Fashion Icon Female, and Choice Female Hottie. (Hey, what's Nicole, chopped liver?) Other multiple nominees include such performers as Ashton Kutcher, Lindsay Lohan, and Mischa Barton, such TV shows as ''The O.C.,'' ''Everwood,'' and ''One Tree Hill,'' such teen-friendly movies as ''Mean Girls,'' ''13 Going on 30,'' ''50 First Dates,'' and such musicians as Britney Spears, Good Charlotte, and Hilary Duff.
Also expected to appear at the gala are new couple Lohan and Wilmer Valderrama (''That '70s Show''), ''White Chicks'' stars Shawn and Marlon Wayans, ''Everwood'''s Gregory Smith and Chris Pratt, and ''Smallville'''s Tom Welling and Kristin Kreuk, as well as Barton, Kutcher, Jennifer Garner, Tyra Banks, Jimmy Fallon, and others. Musical guests are expected to include Spears, Usher, Ashlee Simpson, ''American Idol'' runner-up Diana DeGarmo, and Blink 182.
The awards are chosen by readers of Teen People magazine (which, like EW.com, is a Time Warner outlet) and any other teens who wish to vote online at TeenPeople.com. Voters have until Aug. 5 to pick from nominees in more than 50 categories, including such unique movie-related prizes as Choice Lip-Lock, Choice Hissy Fit, and Choice Sleazebag. The show will be taped Aug. 8 at Los Angeles' Universal Amphitheater and will air on Fox on Aug. 11.
