Welcome to the No Journalism Zone -- where reporters seem to investigate stories that affect the country and the world while espousing the right-wing political agenda of News Corp. head Rupert Murdoch and Fox News chairman and CEO Roger Ailes. That's the primary conceit of this controversial doc, funded by political advocacy group MoveOn.org and the Center for American Progress. (The DVD shot to No. 1 on Amazon after its release, and has sold more than 50,000 copies in its first two weeks.) Relying on former Fox employees and media watchdog groups to make its case, Outfoxed exposes ethically dubious practices -- such as internal memos dictating how to spin the day's news -- at the network self-christened ''fair and balanced.'' Whether you find the film itself fair and balanced may depend on your political persuasion, but one thing's certain: It's as highly charged as a Bill O'Reilly rant.
