In the 2002 documentary ''Comedian,'' a road-weary Jerry Seinfeld and Chris Rock marvel at the legendary endurance and breadth of material belonging to comic idol Bill Cosby -- a fellow now remembered more as America's Favorite TV Dad than as the best joke teller around. In Bill Cosby, Himself we see what they were talking about: Cosby wrote and directed this concert film in which he works his way through nearly two hours of trademark domestic humor (flatulent fathers, harried moms, conniving kids), at once brilliantly clean and lewd. It's a great time indeed, but one that underscores a sad realization that we don't get to see much of that funny man these days.

EXTRAS None but a campy partially animated, Monty Pythonesque trailer.
