One Day Remains (2004)

Details Release Date: Aug 10, 2004; Lead Performance: Alter Bridge

It isn't easy for a best-selling rock band to start over with a new name and an unknown singer. But with Alter Bridge and their new album, One Day Remains, three of the guys from Creed are defying the odds. On the yearning ''Open Your Eyes,'' Mark Tremonti steps out of his shell with some tasty guitar pyrotechnics. The group has a harder edge than Creed, and frontman Myles Kennedy's versatile wail takes even the disc's handful of plodding tracks, um, higher.
