'EXTREME MAKEOVER' CASE KRISTI HUGHES
CAROL KAELSON/ ABC
More than 50,000 nip-tuck-and-implant hopefuls applied for season 3 of ABC's surgical series, but only a few made the cut. Such as? ''Two sisters born with cleft palates. They had close to 20 procedures each, but still weren't finished,'' says coexec producer Julie Laughlin. ''We have a motorcycle cop from Watts. He wants a nose job, his ears pinned back. He has gaps in his teeth. The funniest part: He used to be a pro figure skater.''
The show also boasts a new Makeover Mansion where patients can convalesce poolside, and...okay, one more case: ''A bull rider America's going to love,'' Laughlin offers. ''He's got a big belly. His nose was broken several times, and...'' Enough! It all sounds officially, delightfully extreme.
