Ex-spouses Reba (Reba McEntire) and Brock (Christopher Rich) got caught in a clench by Brock's wife, Barbra Jean (Melissa Peterman), in the season 3 finale, and the ripples continue as Brock shakes off his depression. Troubles also hit young parents Van (Steve Howey) and Cheyenne (JoAnna Garcia). ''[Exec producer] Kevin Abbott used to say, 'We've become an advertisement for teenage pregnancy' because everything always goes so well for them,'' says exec producer Matt Berry. ''So we have to notch up the difficulty.'' But not the naughtiness: The series' move from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. doesn't mean Reba's getting randy. ''Kevin and I both have little kids. We want our kids to be able to watch it and not say, 'Mommy, what's a [insert your own dirty word here]?'''
