Picture this: You're a fan of one of the most innovative television anthologies ever made. The series is resurrected, featuring Forest Whitaker as host and episodes peppered with high-profile guests like Jason Alexander and Usher. Alternate reality? A fifth dimension? Sadly, no. Just UPN's disappointing update of Rod Serling's classic. We can forgive Whitaker for scowling through each show introduction, but we just can't get over Sims' bland turn as a plastic surgery patient in the remake of ''Eye of the Beholder.'' The one bright spot in the 43-episode set: a grown-up Bill Mumy gleefully reprising his Zone role as a boy with the ability to wish things ''away to the cornfield.'' EXTRAS None -- a true reason to zone out.
