Details Release Date: Aug 17, 2004; Lead Performance: 213; Genre: Hip-Hop/Rap

Just like last season's Lakers, this California supergroup boasts marquee talent but doesn't quite deliver the championship trophy. Working in a familiar world of outlandish boasts and freaky tales, the trio (Snoop Dogg, Nate Dogg, and Warren G) make serviceable g-funk on The Hard Way for gin-and-juice-swilling house parties. But only ''Another Summer,'' a blissful Kanye West-produced ode to the season, lives up to the star billing.
