Survival of the Sickest (2004)

Details Release Date: Aug 17, 2004; Lead Performance: Saliva

As catchy as it is defiant, Survival of the Sickest is the hard-rock triumph Saliva have been striving for since their 1997 debut. On the sexed-up title track and elsewhere, the band pays rollicking tribute to the big-hair stars of the 1980s. But front-man Josey Scott knows more than just retro party anthems -- his aching redemption songs and seething revenge tirades give the album a sharp contemporary edge.
