You've got one grand ensemble when David Cross is only your third or fourth funniest. Yes, I mean Fox's Arrested Development (which starts
its second season Nov. 7), with Jason Bateman and Jeffrey Tambor as the
wink-free leads. Other favorites: Matriarch Jessica Walter blends regal
with screw-ball like Bette Davis on glue; Will Arnett lends magician Gob
museum-quality narcissism; and Tony Hale plays Buster with such delicacy
he's less a man-boy than a twitchy forest creature.
