She's smart, sassy, and stunning in a pair of Manolos. But on the Nov. 10 episode of America's Next Top Model (UPN, Wednesdays, 8 p.m.), plus-size beauty Toccara Jones was banished from the prime-time catwalk. Surely we haven't seen the last of her.
What happened?
I have no clue. I don't know why they made that tremendous mistake.
Were you upset that you didn't have as many clothes to choose from as the other girls?
I felt like that from day one. I kept telling myself, if they put me in a potato sack I'm just gonna be fabulous in this potato sack.
Did the stylist, Michele, stick you with that pin on purpose?
I don't know, but it hurt. It was a clamp that they put on mannequins, and she clamped my back. I wanted to go off on her, but I knew I had to deal with her because she was our permanent stylist.
What about when Janice Dickinson implied you were fat?
She's the Simon [Cowell] of the show. She's paid to be mean. I didn't take it personally.
So what now?
We're not allowed to do any work until after the show has aired. But I'm going to be the world's first black plus-size supermodel.
