Dave Gorman's Googlewhack! Adventure (2004)

Comedian Dave Gorman — small, excitable, and British — employs slide-show graphics, beautifully demented slacker logic, and sweaty gusto to explain how he blew a book advance on a worldwide scavenger hunt concocted as a procrastination tactic. The goal: to meet 10 Googlewhacks (individuals whose Web pages are the single result of a search containing two terms) in a row, before his 31st birthday. What would seem the ultimate in inconsequential one-man-show onanism actually matures into a disciplined and almost poignant spiritual quest, culminating in nicely bleary bemusement, if not belly laughs.
