Singer Phil Collins is in the air(waves) tonight: He'll be performing live from New York City in an interactive concert broadcast on A&E (9 p.m. EST). The show, the latest in the cable network's "Live By Request" series, allows viewers to phone or e-mail Collins and make song requests. The concert will also be cybercast live. At this site, web surfers can post their questions to the singer or find an 800 number to call him (the e-mail feature is working now, while the 800 number will be posted at 9 p.m. tonight).

The former Genesis drummer will also release a greatest-hits collection next Tuesday on Atlantic records. Along with such radio favorites as "You Can't Hurry Love" and "One More Night," the album features a new recording of Cyndi Lauper's "True Colors" produced by Babyface.
