All About

Monica Lewinsky

It doesn't look as if Monica Lewinsky will be talking to Roseanne after all, even though the comic-turned-talk-show-host made a $3 million offer to the ex-intern during a Larry King interview Thursday night. "King World Productions [which coproduces and distributes 'The Roseanne Show'] had been in discussions with Lewinsky's representatives, but no deal was struck," says a King World spokesperson. "We're no longer in discussions with them."

However, Roseanne has reportedly booked a guest that will make for more personal (if less riveting) television: ex-husband Tom Arnold. Considering her fiery personality and the fact that they traded insults in the press for months after their 1994 divorce ("I'm only upset that I'm not a widow," said Roseanne about the split), his appearance in November has the potential to make Jerry Springer's show look like "Meet the Press." Roseanne says she booked him for her special "Forgiveness" episode, so she probably isn't planning any choke holds.

(Editor's amendment: On October 13, Roseanne announced that Tom Arnold would not be making his appearance, with both sides claiming "scheduling conflicts." No future booking was announced.)
