Ally Sheedy tells EW Online that she doesn't want to be a movie star; a 'Party of Five' cast member narrowly misses fame

BRAT PACKER NO MORE With her highly praised performances in last year's "High Art" and this year's fest entries "The Autumn Heart" and "Sugar Town," Ally Sheedy might be expected to be scheduling a return trip to Hollywood to tackle bigger-budgeted studio roles. But the actress is just saying no to a Brat Pack redux. "Hollywood isn't my goal," Sheedy tells EW Online. "I'm just looking for interesting material, and I've found that in the independent world. My goals and the goals of Hollywood are not the same. In other words, I don't want to be a capital M, capital S Movie Star." In keeping with that indie spirit, Sheedy is currently in talks to play rebel rocker Patti Smith in an upcoming biopic.

SAVED FROM FAME "Party of Five" actor Michael Goorjian (Justin) says he's been saved from the horror of teen idolatry by a handful of casting directors. "I've been lucky not to have had immediate success," explains Goorjian, who appears in Sundance entries "SLC Punk!" and "The Invisibles." "I don't want to tell you how many people became big movie stars from film roles where it came down to the role being given to me or them. But that gave me the time to deal with the guilt of, 'Do I deserve this or not?'" Goorjian is currently in postproduction on a film he directed, "Oakland Underground."
