ARRESTED DMX was arrested again this weekend. This time, the rapper, whose real name is Earl Simmons, was nabbed mid-concert Saturday night in Trinidad, where police officers accused him of using profane language. According to the Associated Press, the 28-year-old performer was taken from the stage because public use of obscene language is illegal in Trinidad (Foxy Brown's July 3 concert was stopped for similar allegations). DMX spent the night in jail and is scheduled for a court appearance today. Last month DMX got a bad rap in the U.S. when he was charged in New Jersey with possession of illegal firearms and ammunition. He is also free on bail for an assault charge in Yonkers, N.Y.

TUBE WATCH Former ''Savannah'' and ''Melrose Place'' star Jamie Luner has signed on to replace Ally Walker in NBC's crime drama ''Profiler.'' Luner will debut in next season's premiere episode as a prosecutor-turned-FBI agent. Walker, who has played Dr. Sam Waters since the show premiered in 1996, will leave the series in the second episode this fall.

HOSPITAL UPDATE Elton John was released from London's Wellington Hospital Saturday after receiving a pacemaker. John, who had to cancel shows last weekend, told reporters ''everything went really well'' after Friday's hourlong heart operation.

CASTING Sean Astin is in final negotiations to join the cast of New Line Cinema's megabudgeted ''The Lord of the Rings'' action trilogy. Astin will play Sam Gamgee, servant and sidekick to protagonist Frodo Baggins (Elijah Wood). Director Peter Jackson will shoot ''The Fellowship of the Ring'' this October, with ''The Two Towers'' and ''The Return of the King'' to follow. The trilogy is expected to cost $190 million, second only (so far) to ''Titanic''.... Martin Landau, Michael Madsen, and Cathy Moriarty have joined Rosanna Arquette to star in the black comedy ''Good Graces'' for indie director Charles Kanganis (''Race in the Sun''). ''Graces'' follows a boxer's desperate attempts to stay away from the Mafia.

UNMARRIED Twenty years and four children later, Mick Jagger and Jerry Hall's troubled relationship is finally over. In fact, legally, it never happened. The famous rock and roll duo decided Friday in a 12-minute court hearing to have their nine-year marriage annulled. Jagger, 55, and Hall, 43, agreed that their 1990 wedding in Bali wasn't legal, since the civil ceremony was never completed. According to their attorneys, Jagger and Hall reached a ''mutually acceptable legal and financial settlement,'' meaning Hall got somewhere between $11 million and $15 million (she was asking for $50 mil) from Jagger's estimated $240 million fortune.

EXPECTING Emma Thompson is preggers. The Academy Award-winning Brit announced Friday that she and partner Greg Wise (''Sense and Sensibility'') are expecting their first child. No word yet on whether Merchant Ivory will direct the birth.
