'Survivor' Is the Fittest

EW Online tells you how you can try out for the cast of ''Survivor II''

It looks like CBS' five competitors are going to need some rescuing! The third outing of ''Survivor,'' the network's reality game show for budding Robinson Crusoes, attracted its largest audience yet on June 14. The hour-long episode, which featured attorney Stacey Stillman being kicked off the island, averaged 23.2 million viewers -- a 28 percent improvement over the previous week's airing (18.12 million) and a whopping 50 percent increase over the show's debut (15.51 million). In fact, ''Survivor'' was watched by 1.3 million more viewers than the other five networks combined (21.92 million).

Meanwhile, the castaways of Survivor island are quickly becoming the media darlings of the mainland. CBS' ''The Early Show,'' like it has with previous participants, first interviewed Stillman before she went on MSNBC, Fox News Channel, ''Entertainment Tonight,'' ''Extra,'' ''Access Hollywood,'' E!, and ''Late Night With David Letterman.''

Even though ''Survivor'' only lasts for 13 weeks this summer, don't expect an end to the fun anytime soon. On Thursday, CBS announced that it will debut ''Survivor II'' -- this time from the Australian Outback -- early next year. Production begins in October and CBS is already hot on the trail for contestants. Interested masochists can find more information at CBS.com.
