Brave 'Hart'

Bruce Willis will star in Gregory Hoblit's ''Hart's War,'' a World War II film based on John Katzenbach's novel about an American shot down over Europe. Edward Norton, who worked with Hoblit in ''Primal Fear'' -- and earned a 1996 supporting actor Academy Award nomination for his role as an accused killer -- was originally attached to the MGM project. But Norton changed his mind last month, casting doubts as to whether filming would begin in January in Prague as scheduled. Norton was replaced by Colin Farrell, who will play a law student defending a fellow prisoner in a POW camp. Willis stars as a senior officer who serves on the makeshift jury hearing the case.

MGM hopes to have the film completed before the possible writers and actors strikes this spring. Meanwhile, Willis' next movie, ''Unbreakable'' (in theaters Nov. 22), reteams him with M. Night Shyamalan, who wrote and directed ''The Sixth Sense.''
