In Joel Schumacher's thriller (opening Feb. 23), Carrey plays an average-Joe husband and father whose life begins to unravel when he becomes increasingly convinced that a scary book — titled (you guessed it!) The Number 23 — is not only based on his life, but is foreshadowing his macabre future.
