Moonlighting (1985-89)
In his star-making role opposite Cybill Shepherd on ABC's bantering-sleuths series, Willis taught us three lessons: that he could hold his own opposite a more established star, that sexual tension can make a show a hit (even when the stars' off-camera relationship was reported to be just plain tense), and that shows based on sexual tension tend to jump the shark once the characters finally hook up.
