In this popular Americanization of French farce La Cage Aux Folles, Armand (Williams), impresario of a Miami drag club, and Albert (Nathan Lane, pictured with Williams), his star performer, try to pass themselves off as a straight couple so as not to shock their son's prospective in-laws, a conservative senator (Gene Hackman) and his wife (Dianne Wiest). Playing opposite the overtly campy Lane, Williams has the straight-man role, so to speak.
FACIAL HAIR? Just a handlebar mustache.
BETTER WITH A BEARD? No, the mustache is sufficient. Besides, there's already enough bearding going on here.
