Actually, Samuel L. Jackson isn't necessarily the ideal guy to take on the 500 serpents aboard Snakes on a Plane. After all, in his previous battles with the animal kingdom, he's been eaten by dinosaurs (Jurassic Park) and sharks (Deep Blue Sea). Similarly, Snakes on a Plane isn't necessarily the most brilliant movie title ever. Sure, it works for this film, but imagine if previous belligerent-critter films had been named Rats in a Basement, Birds in a Bedroom, or Bunny in a Cave. You'd have avoided these movies and missed out on some of the memorable marauding-animal movies cited on the following pages.
