Our favorite summer villains: From Meryl's magazine editor to the mean girls of ''Laguna Beach,'' here are the movie and TV stars who were exceeeelllent at being bad
Miranda Priestly (Meryl Streep)
The Devil Wears Prada
In Lauren Weisberger's roman à clef, Miranda was the editrix readers were supposed to hate, but Streep's big-screen interpretation (which is generating serious Oscar buzz) turned the character into the season's ultimate anti-hero: icy-cold, cunning, and hilarious with just a touch of vulnerability. Who knew the ability to deliver a subtly devastating brush-off ''that's all'' could count as a superpower?
