In her new NBC comedy, Tina Fey plays the head writer on a late-night variety show that stars an unstable but ratings-grabbing comedian (Tracy Morgan). ''Whenever she put the pen to the pad when it came to me, things turned out funny,'' Morgan recently told EW.com about working with Fey on SNL and the new show (debuting Oct. 11). ''She's so cool, and I love her because her writing is honest... When she wrote this role for me, I was like, 'Wait a minute — this role is part me!'''
