JAY-Z
Clearly, it pays to fake-retire. Though the rap kingpin and label head historically has been showered with nominations (20 at last count), he's only come down so far with six wins, including several for collaborations. Again, he gets nods for working with lady love Beyoncé (they won a pair for 2004's ''Crazy in Love''): Two for Best R&B Song and Best Rap/Sung Collaboration, for the frenetic single, ''Déjà Vu,'' from her 2006 album B'Day. Whether his most recent release, American Gangster, gets love from next year's voters remains to be seen, as its November street date made it ineligible for this round.
