PARAMORE
From Warped Tour festival grounds to the Grammys stage and its attendant national spotlight, it's been a short, strange trip for these baby-faced Tennessee pop-punkers and Best New Artist nominees. Led by 18-year-old tiny-firecracker frontwoman Hayley Williams, the band turned their second album, Riot!, into a smash amongst eyeliner'd teens, largely on the strength of the ubiquitous MTV video for ''Misery Business.'' No doubt the band deserves a champagne celebration for their precocious achievement though maybe better to make it sparkling apple cider; only bassist Jeremy Davis, at the ripe age of 22, is old enough to drink.
