The Cirque du Soleil's surrealist ''A Day in the Life'' mash-up — exploding cars! walking umbrellas! extreme trapezes! — was gloriously weird fun. A gospel cover of ''Let It Be,'' courtesy of the cast of Across the Universe, was mawkish and heavy-handed by comparison. Still, we can't complain about an opportunity to listen to some remastered Fab Four tunes, guaranteed to be more compelling than 99% of the night's music. B+
