The Foo Fighters

Potential wuss-out alert! The Foo Fighters were joined in their performance of ''The Pretender'' by violinist Anne Marie Calhoun — winner of the ''My Grammy Moment'' competition — and an actual orchestra. Then again, the orchestra was conducted by none of other than Led Zeppelin bassist John Paul Jones. And the head-bangingly magnificent results served as a reminder that even Dave Grohl's bad hair knows more about rocking hard than most people will ever learn (though, in fairness, that is a lot of hair). B+
