I should hate Michael Johns. How dare this 29-year-old Australian export come to our country and try to win our singing-themed popularity contest! And how dare this terribly good-looking man turn my wife into a swooning schoolgirl! (Sigh.) So why am I rooting for this guy? Because I want to be this guy! He's not only the complete Idol package, but the complete dude package, too: soulful, humble, mature, boasting cool T-shirts and naturally moisturized lips. Sure, he's got talent — his soaring rendition of ''Bohemian Rhapsody'' proved he has heaps of it — but I'm taken by his palpable respect for the music itself. As long as he resists the urge to coast, the Down Under wonder deserves to win in a landslide. But please, Michael: Stay away from my wife. —Jeff Jensen
