Jennifer Hudson's Best Supporting Actress win, predicted by everyone, seemed almost anticlimactic, but during the medley of the three nominated songs from Dreamgirls, Hudson (wearing a low-cut red gown that courted wardrobe malfunction) showed just why she deserved the prize. Joined by costars Beyonce and Anika Noni Rose, she sang both lead and back-up on ''Love You, I Do,'' ''Listen,'' and ''Patience.''
