The Boxer (1997)
In his third film for director Jim Sheridan, Day-Lewis tells another tale of the Troubles, this one fictional. He plays Danny Flynn, who runs into violent opposition when he tries to bring together youths from both sides of strife-torn Belfast in a boxing league.
