89. MICHAEL CAINE
The Man Who Would Be King (1975)
Michael Caine (owner of statuettes for both Hannah and Her Sisters and The Cider House Rules) is just Peachy as one half (with Sean Connery) of a demented duo who seek to become rich as kings of Kafiristan in John Huston's tale of colonialism gone horribly wrong. Caine's quirky confidence in their mad scheme, and the unbridled joy he brings to the role, is a treasure in itself.
