Away From Her's Christie won her first Oscar 42 years ago as the star of this emblematic film about swingin'-'60s England. She's Diana Scott, an ambitious model who happily sleeps and shoplifts her way to the top. John Schlesinger's film is a satire that tut-tuts Diana for her amorality, but compared to the rest of the stuffed-shirt characters, Christie's breezy siren is the liveliest thing in the movie.
