Most Commanding Speech
Meryl Streep
Mirren, Shmirren: The queen of the night was Globes favorite Meryl Streep, who earned her 21st nomination and 6th win for The Devil Wears Prada. She gave perhaps the longest speech of the night, but no one was going to cut off the woman who noted that she'd worked with everyone in the room. She gently tweaked a few people, praised others, gave a shout-out to several fine indie movies she wasn't in (ask your local theater owner to screen them, she ordered), and wrapped up with her character's imperious catchphrase, ''That's all.''
