L.A. STORY (1991)
As someone who owns 1982's The Pirate Movie on DVD, I don't feel shame. But if you need a guilt-free romantic comedy, it's L.A. Story. Written by and starring Steve Martin, it's a surrealist spoof of SoCal culture and coitus that finds wacky weatherman Harris K. Telemacher juggling a professional gifter (Marilu Henner), a British journalist (Victoria Tennant), and an aspiring spokesmodel (Sarah Jessica Parker, pictured with Martin). Also, it's nice to remember a time when it was okay to fantasize about Mel Gibson. —Mandi Bierly
