Kate Moss and Pete Doherty arrived at the ceremony, held at the Hammersmith Palais, looking smashing or should it be smashed? According to an NME report, security asked the lovebirds to leave at a painfully early 8:30 p.m., due to various offenses (including Doherty trying to steal a spoon yes, a spoon from his table). Their early exit prevented Moss from presenting NME's highly coveted ''Godlike Genius'' award to Primal Scream as scheduled. And Doherty, whose band Babyshambles was up for two awards Best Live Band and Best British Band won nothing that night but a little extra shut-eye. (See a full list of winners here.)
