Dear ''Powers That Be'' at the new CW,
As a sapling network, I understand the need for you to prove your credibility. It must be cold there in the shadow of your deeply rooted brethren. However, your rate of maturity cannot be sped along by taking a ''slash and burn'' approach to your current crop. Veronica Mars may not be bringing in gangbuster numbers, but what it is lacking in ad revenue, it certainly makes up for with its rich quality. You have far more expendable shows in your lineup at this time. Prune those first to make room for new blooms. DO NOT cancel what is one of the most intelligently written and satisfyingly acted shows on television! How can you expect the most talented young minds in Hollywood to want to develop any future projects with you if you don't exhibit a reverence for the craft? That doesn't mean that there wouldn't still be room for lowbrow fare in your lineup. VM could certainly use the compost. Joss! We need your help! — Scott T
