TRUTH, JUSTICE LEAGUE
By the early 1970s, Superman had been made thoroughly safe for children, thanks in large part to such Saturday-morning cartoon fare as Super Friends (1972-85), which put Superman and Batman (along with the teenage alien Wonder Twins and their space monkey) together as allies in the Justice League of America. Later, DC would publish a Justice League title that took a much more satirical look at how an alliance of squabbling Super-egos might play out.
