Sometimes, it's not so bad to be in second place. While U2 is clearly the most popular rock band to come out of Ireland in the last, oh, thousand or so years, plaintive alt-rockers the Cranberries, fronted by a pixie-ish young waif named Dolores O'Riordan, found international success in the '90s, selling some 33 million records both here and abroad. Today, O'Riordan is a very grown-up mother of four who lives between homes in Limerick and Canada, and she's just stepping out for the first time this week with her debut solo release, Are You Listening? (Sanctuary). We recently asked her to flip through our photo gallery of vintage and recent snaps of her and tell us what she sees.
