Interpol, Our Love to Admire
The bespoke-suited dark-rock overlords of NYC's indie scene make a major-label bow this summer with their third CD. A more epic, orchestral sound dominates lend an ear to the sprawling, and punning, first single, ''The Heinrich Maneuver.'' ''I started to learn how to use software programs that can emulate orchestras,'' bassist and keyboard player Carlos D. explains, ''which gives it an intricate twist.'' And will there be anything less formal, image-wise? ''I don't think so,'' he laughs. ''Casual Friday just doesn't really mean anything to me.'' Release date: 7/10
