Readers 'Fess Up: My Big Fat Pop Culture-Packed Wedding

I'm a HUGE U2 fan and had to find a way to incorporate it into my wedding. Friends were shocked when I entered the church to an instrumental piece I had found and fell in love with. ''What? No U2? Is this the girl we know?'' you could see them thinking. The ceremony itself contained no references either, but a smile crept across my loved ones' faces as the opening notes for ''Beautiful Day'' came across the PA as we were introduced as husband and wife for the first time...and we timed it perfectly so our kiss was right as the chorus broke into ''It's a beautiful day...'' Who cares if the song is about something way more meaningful like poverty and the state of the world? That day, it was about us. — Elly
