For Kravitz's first EW shoot, Aroch stuck to the basics — plain walls, no props, a white dress — to leave room for improvisation. ''There wasn't any preconceived concept,'' he says. ''She had such a great energy that we just ended up riffing off each other.'' Halfway through the session, the photographer brought The Brave One's Kravitz (daughter of Lenny Kravitz and actress Lisa Bonet) to this vacant studio flooded with evening light — a perfect fit for her sparkling personality. ''She just seemed like she was having fun,'' he recalls. ''Not just on the shoot, but in life at that moment.''
