Jack Nicholson
The Terror (1963)

Twenty years before his consummate horror role — that would be Jack Torrance in Stanley Kubrick's The Shining (1980) — Nicholson got his career off the ground with parts in a trio of Roger Corman flicks: 1960's The Little Shop of Horrors, then 1963's The Raven (with vets Vincent Price, Peter Lorre, and Boris Karloff) and The Terror, about a Napoleonic officer (Nicholson) who follows a mysterious woman into the creepy castle of an old baron (Karloff).
