Dempsey will appear in his first romantic leading role since 2002's Sweet Home Alabama in Thanksgiving's Enchanted, a tongue-in-cheek take on happily-ever-after mythology in which he plays a heartbroken single-dad divorce lawyer who falls for a cartoon princess (Amy Adams) who has suddenly come to life.
