A tribute by Drew Carey: ''You talk about 35 years at a gig it's awe-inspiring. He built [The Price Is Right] from a half hour in 1972 to an hour in 1975, and his presence let it grow. He was a steady, honest performer that you could always count on. When Bob's hair went white, he became this mythic figure, guiding the average person through this maze to success. His only advice [to me] was not to copy him. I don't know if it was advice or a threat.
