Not only was he the first major TV personality to dress in drag (which landed him on stage at the 1993 MTV VMAs with disco diva RuPaul), Uncle Miltie was on the air for over 40 years as the host of variety hours like Texaco Star Theater and as a frequent guest star. A triple threat, he sang with Sinatra, bantered with Tallulah Bankhead, and never let a joke fall flat.
