IN THE MOOD FOR LOVE (2000)
Smoldering moments stolen in the rain. Cramped hallways filled with intrigue. Sure, it's about an extramarital affair or two, but you won't find many sexier movies out there. Director Wong Kar-wai fills this film with a tremendous amount of feeling, beauty, color, and music. Not much happens, exactly, but the repressed passion is overwhelming enough to keep you transfixed. Leads Maggie Cheung and Tony Leung, both betrayed by their spouses, captivate as they slowly fall for each other. Visually stunning and languorously paced, this movie might not be your rom-com cup of sugar, but it's certainly a great choice for the adventurous. Helin Jung
