In 2007, our Year of Green, this gaga gorgeous 11-part series, illuminating every corner of the natural world, was pure environmental porn. Over five years in the making, and soothingly narrated by Sigourney Weaver, Earth boasted shots so otherworldly beautiful (especially in HD), they were almost hallucinogenic. Jellyfish lush as jungle flowers. Lions attached like barnacles to an elephant. A flickering ocean of slithering sea snakes. Grass. From jungle to sea to prairie, Earth was dazzling, and deeply humbling.
