adaptation (he wrote,
directed, and costars) of
his own semiautobiographical
1996
novel on this list because
I have a fondness for
obsessive projects, and
clearly this story
consumes its creator.
Then I watched it
again — a self-absorbed
mope on the road to fame.
And on the list it went.
